Position Summary
The role of the Research Scientist at Proveris encompasses an exciting and wide-ranging combination of scientific curiosity, experimentation, predictive modeling/simulation, and technology to push Proveris’ envelope of understanding of how sprays and aerosols can be used to improve the health and wellbeing of people. Ideally, the person in this role will have a significant and positive impact on the research projects Proveris’ is involved in and how that research translates into tangible solutions. The person in this role will have broad responsibilities for interfacing with Proveris’ product management, product development, and commercial teams and with academic and industry collaborators to help drive and shape the company’s research efforts. This role requires a person with exceptional abilities to communicate Proveris’ research activities effectively in a wide range of settings including technical/scientific publications and presentations; collaboration efforts with fellow researchers in academia, industry and government agencies; and customers. This role requires a person who is “hands-on” and capable of designing/building a wide variety of research-grade prototypes and running experiments on these prototypes to generate proof statements for scientific hypotheses related to the company’s research interests. This role provides a self-starter and lifelong learner with the opportunity to work with world-class scientists, engineers, data analysts and commercial people in the spirit of entrepreneurship and clever thinking that have always been the hallmarks of Proveris’ philosophy and our drive to “test the truth”.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a M.S. degree in engineering or related applied science such as physics or chemistry is required.
- At least two (2) years industry or academic experience in spray and aerosol characterization techniques is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to conduct sound scientific research and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals is essential.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
