Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help build and drive Proveris Scientifics’ rapidly growing GMP contract laboratory business, Proveris Laboratories. The key individual will work in a fast- paced team environment as a Laboratory / Project Manager responsible for planning, preparing, and execution of the laboratory operations schedule and driving projects to success. The position combines pharmaceutical laboratory experience with the understanding of drug formulation, product development and QC as it pertains to orally inhaled and nasal drug products (OINDP). The position will help drive the customer’s understanding and use of Proveris’ current and future technologies to develop and characterize OINDP products. The Laboratory Manager is knowledgeable and fully conversant in project management, analytical measurement technologies (ie. HPLC), method development, sample preparation, and routine analysis of drug product quality. Experience in Spray Pattern, Plume Geometry, dose content uniformity testing, cascade impaction testing (NGI/ACI), and particle sizing techniques, for characterization of OINDP Products is preferable. The Laboratory Manager is a self-starter and lifelong learner able to assist Proveris’ global customers with application and laboratory needs and to establish Proveris Laboratories as an industry leader. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management and communication skills and will be able to work cross-functionally with internal groups and external customers to ensure smooth project execution to the highest standards. Responsibilities include management of contract projects, scientific laboratory support of staff, equipment maintenance, purchasing and inventory management, lab organization, safety compliance, and continuous improvement of lab operations.

Travel Requirements:

Valid driver’s license needed, as well as the ability to obtain a passport, and visas necessary for international travel. Overnight domestic and international travel will average <15%, varying in response to shifting business needs.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment:

Moderate noise level associated with open office work environment and site conditions. Global travel may present the employee with noise, temperature, and/or humidity that deviates significantly from the level of each one associated with a typical open office environment and site.
