The Applications Chemist combines real pharmaceutical laboratory experience with the desire to enhance customers’ understanding and use of Proveris systems to develop and characterize aerosol and spray delivered drug products. The Applications Chemist is knowledgeable and fully conversant in dose content uniformity testing, cascade impaction testing (NGI/ACI), and particle sizing techniques, preferably with experience in metered-dose inhalers, pMDI, nasal and dry powder(DPI) for inhalation products. The Applications Chemist is responsible for all Proveris’ laboratory activities, including performing contract testing services. The Applications Chemist adds a critical customer’s perspective to our commercial, technical support, and product realization teams and services focused on specific market needs. The Applications Chemist balances laboratory activities in the corporate offices with customer support activities, technical presentations, and field visits to prospective customers. The Applications Chemist is a self-starter and lifelong learner able to assist Proveris’ global customers with application and laboratory needs and to add customer insights to Proveris’ engineering expertise and market knowledge to help define future technologies and professional services for a worldwide customer base developing and producing orally inhaled and nasal drug products (OINDPs).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Valid driver’s license needed. Overnight domestic and international travel will average 25-30%, varying in response to shifting business needs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Moderate noise level associated with open office work environment and site conditions. Global travel may present the employee with noise, temperature, and/or humidity that deviates significantly from the level of each one associated with a typical open office environment and site.
